CNMI Hospitality Expo this Friday; open to the public
The CNMI will host its first Hospitality Expo this Friday, March 27, from 1pm to 6pm at the Saipan World Resort. This event is free and open to the public.
Latte Training Academy and Island Training Solutions, the training partner for the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, will be hosting this event. This “trade show” or Expo has over 30 exhibitors who will be showing off their properties, services, and amenities for the public to see. There will also be entertainment from Dandan Elementary School’s My Wave Club and Larry Lee’s ukulele group. The public is urged to come down and browse the booths and see what the CNMI’s No. 1 industry has to offer.
The ribbon cutting to open the Expo will be held promptly at 1pm and floor will be open to the public.
“This idea stems from conversations with residents throughout Saipan who still do not understand the depth of opportunities the hospitality business offers our residents. It not only offers great career opportunities but the taxes and fees from tourism and hospitality help fund our government and the services it provides to our residents,” said Jim Arenovski of Island Training Solutions. “All businesses in the CNMI whether they are directly or far removed, benefit from the tourism dollars.”
“There is no charge to visit the expo and each visitor will get a raffle entry for great prizes from the resorts and supporting business” Arenovski added.
The goal of the expo is to showcase all the amenities, banquet facilities, restaurants, bars, spas, memberships, products, etc. that are offered at Commonwealth hotels, resorts, and supporting businesses.
“We hope everyone can make some time to come down to the Expo and get a chance to visit each booth to see what is new and upcoming in the industry,” Arenovski said.
