Titans still on top despite loss
The Abyss Titans suffered an 8-7 loss to the Jokers Wonderpool Aces last week but remain on top of the Budweiser-Saipan Billiards Association Thursday Open 8-Ball League.
The Titans enjoy a two-win advantage over their sister team Rack ‘N’ Roll, Wild Bill’s, and Route33 Alamo Car Rental, which hold similar 57-48 slates. Lurking behind them are the Jokers Homeboyz (57-48) and the Smoke Pub Magic 8 Ball (55-50).
The Wonderpool Aces (50-55), Jonny’s Team SCS (49-56), Barcode Hobbies Deadshot (48-57), Barcode Breakers (37-68) complete the standings.
The Deadshot and Rack ‘N’ Roll also scored similar 8-7 wins over Team SCS and Alamo Car Rental, respectively, while the Homeboyz and Magic 8 Ball both pulled off 11-4 decisions against the Breakers and Team SCS.
In the Tuesday League, the Smoke Pub Armatech Hustlers and the Jokers IT&E Voyagers continue to occupy the top two spots after posting wins over separate opponents.
The Hustlers downed the Abyss Crazy 8, 10-5, while the Voyagers duplicated the feat against the Smoke Pub Str8 Shooters with the same score.
The Smoke Pub Destroyers swept the last three singles 8-Ball events in completing a 9-6 win over the Abyss Homeboyz II.
Week 8 action in today’s matches in the Tuesday League will have the Voyagers facing the Destroyers, while the Hustlers take on the Str8 Shooters, while the Homeboyz II battle sister team Crazy 8.
In the Thursday League on March 26, the Deadshot host the Magic 8 Ball while the Homeboyz visit the Wonderpool Aces and Team SCS collide with the Titans. The Barcode Breakers take on Alamo Car Rental and Wild Bill’s meet Rack ‘N’ Roll.
