UOG names winners of High School Chemistry Titration Competition

Twenty-eight students participated in 2015 University of Guam High School Chemistry Titration Competition, which was held on Charter Day, March 10, 2015, at the UOG Science Building. The participating schools included Harvest Christian Academy, Academy of Our Lady of Guam, Guam High School, St. Johns School, St. Paul Christian School, Notre Dame High School, and Father Duenas Memorial School.

The students competed in three categories: Best Laboratory Skill, Best Individual, and Best Team. First, second, and third places were awarded for each of the categories. Prizes included gift certificates donated by the Office of the Senior Vice President and cash donated by L & K Communications. The competition was sponsored by the UOG College of Natural and Applied Sciences.

Best Laboratory Skill

– First Place: Kyle Caponpon, St Paul Christian School

– Second Place: Jing Wang, Academy of Our Lady of Guam

– Third Place: Shelby Perez, Notre Dame High School

Best Individual

– First Place: Yoo Na Choi, St. Johns School

– Second Place: Jessica Fernandez, Notre Dame High School

– Third Place: Jeffrey Ochavillo, Father Duenas Memorial School

Best Team

– First Place: Jeffrey Ochavillo and Tristan Paulino; Father Duenas Memorial School

– Second Place: Yoo Na Choi and Lige Jiang; St Johns School

– Third Place: Paul Tominez and Tomoya Tisdale; Guam High School (UOG)
