Commonwealth Health Center found in contempt

Share

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman issued today, Thursday, an order finding the Commonwealth Health Center in contempt for not complying with orders requiring the hospital to pay the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. its utility services for three months amounting to $1.3 million.

As sanctions, Wiseman allowed CUC to cease providing services to some, if not all of the hospital’s “non-essential” services unless the contempt is purged with payment or payments satisfactory to CUC.

The judge, however, deferred the execution of sanctions by 45 days to give CHC time to file objections.

More details to follow.
