Group to celebrate Int’l Mother Language Day
The Bangladesh Cultural Group will be celebrating the International Mother Language Day on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the American Memorial Park’s Visitors Center auditorium, from 7pm to 9:30pm. International Mother Language Day is an observance held annually on Feb. 21 worldwide to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. It was first announced by UNESCO on Nov. 17, 1999. The Bangladesh Cultural Group will mark the occasion with cultural performances and speeches. The Ayuda Network, Inc./Commonwealth Respite Service Program is inviting family caregivers, child and adult daycare, and respite care providers to participate in a series of trainings in February and March 2015.
