SI-NMI meeting will highlight POHL office
The Pacific Ombudsman for Humanitarian Law will be highlighted in the second quarterly program meeting offered by the Soroptimist International Northern Mariana Islands club. These program meetings are a public service that provides information regarding various non-profit organizations on Saipan that help those in need. The public is invited to attend to learn more about both organizations.
A buffet lunch will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Giovanni’s Restaurant of the Hyatt Regency Saipan. Cost is $20 per person. Tickets are available by contacting Kelli McDoulett at 783-0068 or by contacting any member of SINMI.
POHL provides comprehensive victim advocacy through victim rescue, litigation, intervention, and re-integration assistance. It works collaboratively with other local and federal organizations, private and public, with the goal of restoring victims’ dignity and making them whole. Through the development of best practices guidelines and policies, the organization streamlines the efficient, professional handling of their often complex and multi-layered caseload while remaining in the forefront of the legal issues facing the CNMI and the Pacific region.
Attorney Pam Brown and her staff are well qualified and experienced in providing support to people of all nationalities on Saipan. This luncheon provides an opportunity to find out more about the services and mission of POHL, who it helps, and the type of help it offers.
