CCA board meeting on Feb. 17
The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Agenda includes reports from the president and program updates. All board meetings are open to the public. Water outage in Chalan Kiya tomorrow
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the residents of Chalan Kiya that there will be a water outage from 9am to 12pm tomorrow, Feb. 11, 2015. This will allow CUC’s contractor, AIC Marianas, to test a new pressure-reducing valve and allow water from the Kannat Tabla reservoir to bring water service to the Chalan Kiya village. Survivors, caregivers’ support meeting on Thursday
The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s monthly survivors/caregivers support meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room, from 5:30pm to 7pm. Free class on Japanese culture
The Consular Office of Japan on Saipan will organize a class about Japanese culture. Any interested person is kindly requested to register your name by Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, by contacting the Saipan Register at cojsf@ag.mofa.go.jp. The class will be open to just 15 people on a first-come, first-served basis.

The class will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, at the conference room of the Consular Office of Japan, second floor, Bank Hawaii Building, Mariana Heights Business Park, Puerto Rico, Saipan. The class will take up Japanese animation Nitabo, a story of the founder of Tsugaru, shamisen, origami (paper folding), Japanese sake, etc. (PR)
