FOA presents musical revue for Valentines Day weekend

This next weekend, Feb. 12, 14, and 15, Saipan’s community theater, the Friends of the Arts, will be presenting the third program of its 2015 season, Let’s Fall in Love Again The program is a musical revue that consists of songs taken from different Broadway shows: Cabaret, Cinderella, Grease, Color Purple, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Jersey Boys, Love Never Dies, Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid, Hair Spray, The Last Five Years, The Addams Family, Jekyll and Hyde, Wonderland, Promises Promises, and others.

The songs depict different scenarios of people falling in and out of love. The show starts with a song in contradiction to the theme, I’ll Never Fall in Love Again. It then it continues to show reasons why some people find it hard to fall in love. After which, it takes it from the beginning of a love story—the infatuation stage. The program will also feature songs that speak about conflicts in a relationship and songs that show love from different kinds of people and characters.

The program on Valentines Day, Feb. 14, will be a reserved table dinner-theater program for all attendees, offering the fabulous PIC buffet included in the price of the ticket: $40 for adults, $35 for FOA members, $32 for students above 11 years of age, and $20 for students and children 4-11 years of age. Season ticket-holders and advertisers will pay $24 for the meal only.

On the Feb. 13 and 15 shows, guests may have the option of purchasing the buffet at the $24 price for adults and students above 11 years in age and $12 for students and children 4-11 years of age, with the ticket cost $15 for adults, $12 for FOA members, $8 for students and children above 4 years of age.

The door will be open and the PIC buffet will be available for all performances at 6:30pm, with the program beginning at 7:30pm. For those attending the dinner-theater performance on Feb. 14, tables may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for this evening are a commitment and you will be expected to pay the full amount even if you fail to attend. Tickets are available through FOA board members and performers. Tickets will also be sold at the door on a space available basis.
