PCG invites public to a tour of the Philippines
The Philippine Consulate General wishes to invite interested parties to join the annual “Ambassador, Consuls General and Tourism Directors Tour to the Philippines” to be held from July 6 to 10, 2015.
The ACGTDT is a project of the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States, including the Philippine Consulate General in Guam, in cooperation with the representatives of the Department of Tourism assigned in key cities in North America. It aims to promote the Philippines not only as a tourist destination but also as a viable investment option and retirement haven. It caters to foreign nationals and to former Filipinos as well as dual citizens.
This year is the tenth time the project is being undertaken and the basic tour package includes accommodation for four days and three nights and visits to key sites in Manila and Cebu. The program also includes a visit to Malacañang, the Presidential Palace.
Last year, close to 300 participants joined the ACGTDT, 24 of whom came from Guam. Hopefully, this year the Consulate General’s goal is to double the participants from Guam or even reach as high as 100 with delegates from Saipan, Palau, Micronesia and Marshall Islands.
While the details of the tour package are still being finalized, interested participants are encouraged to “save the date” or “block off their calendars” on the affected dates to avoid conflict with other travel and business plans.
