DEQ brigade sets Saturday cleanup
The Division of Environmental Quality’s monthly cleanup brigade is picking up trash at Marine Beach in Kagman on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011.
If you would like to volunteer, meet the DEQ representative at 8am at the beach parking lot. Volunteers will split into groups and clean north, south, east, and west until 10am and break for drinks and then continue, if needed.
This month, outstanding brigade volunteers who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated in at least three cleanups will receive a green brigade T-shirt.

Veterans outreach in September
Tina San Agustin, the Department of Veterans Affairs’ legal administrative specialist for Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, will be on Saipan on Sept. 28-29, 2011, for a Veterans Outreach on veterans’ federal benefits. She will be also entertaining questions and assisting veterans and all concerned with their claims.
Agustin will be stationed at the Military and Veterans Affairs Office on Capitol Hill, building 1364, Saipan, from 8:30am to 4:30pm on both days.
