Public urged to watch NMI-Japanese teams soccer matches
The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association is inviting everyone to watch the forthcoming matches between visiting Japanese teams and NMI players.

The first Japanese team to arrive will be Japan Soccer College, which will be playing two matches on Feb. 3 and 5. Tomorrow, the Japan Soccer College Team will play against the CNMI U18 Boys National Team, while on Thursday the visitors will challenge the NMI All-Star Team. Kick-off on both days will be at 5:30 pm.
The JSC team will be giving away some soccer uniforms during their visit. Lucky spectators this coming Tuesday can win those uniforms through a raffle drawing.
Come to the match on Tuesday and look for NMIFA volunteers distributing the tickets. Write your name, phone number, and email address on the designated part of the ticket and then put that part into a drop box that will be placed in front of the grandstand. The winning tickets will be drawn during half time and the ticket numbers and name of the winners will be published in the newspapers either on Wednesday or Thursday. You can also check the winners via Facebook account “Football in the CNMI.”
Winners can then claim the shirts after the JSC vs NMI All-Star Team match Feb. 5. Look for NMIFA officials at the front of the grandstand so the winners can also have a group photo with JSC players.
Two more Japanese squads will visit the island and play against the Commonwealth squads. (NMIFA)
