The 2015 Inter-Commercial Business Basketball League is set to open tomorrow at 6pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium with nine teams vying for the inaugural season title.

Assembly time is set at 5:30pm for the parade of teams and short opening ceremony where some important guests are expected to show up.

A final meeting was held last Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Ada Gym conference room where the nine teams that attended submitted their final rosters and the league’s ground rules were also discussed.

Asia Pacific Hotels Inc./Tan Holdings, Docomo Pacific, IT&E, Marpac/Budweiser, Mobil, Pacific Islands Club-Saipan, Public School System, Saipan Ice, and Saipan Stevedore are the competing teams.

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is reportedly trying to join the league.

Only employees of the said businesses are allowed to participate and teams can submit a 15-player roster with 12 allowed to suit up for every game.

The human resource managers of each business establishment need to certify that players listed on their respective rosters are employees of the company they are representing.

Tournament format will follow a single round-robin elimination and a double-round eliminations in the playoffs. Two games, at 6:30pm and 8pm, will be played every Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ada Gym.

All teams are required to have their respective complete set of uniforms.
