Logan Mister heads to the bike course during last month's Enticer 1. (Roselyn B. Monroyo)  XTERRA Saipan Championship and Tagaman Triathlon participants will have another chance to warm up for next month’s races this Saturday with the staging of Enticer 2.

The event will start at 7:30am at PauPau Beach with the swim course, which offers one or two laps. Check-in time is at 6:30am. From the waters of PauPau Beach, participants will head to the swim-bike transition area at the parking lot and can choose to do the Tagaman course (long and short) or the XTERRA trail.

The Tagaman bike long course (road) will bring riders to Bird Island and Banzai before returning to PauPau Beach, while the short one will take bikers right away to Banzai and back to the starting line. For the XTERRA off-road course, bikers in the short course will turn right up through Marianas Country Club to the million gallon tank, turn left to the FEBC road, turn left down to Middle Road, and turn left again on the way back to PauPau. For the XTERRA long course, after pedaling up to Marianas Country Club to the million gallon tank, riders must turn right and head to Kimikaze Trail, turn left and take the paved road to Santati Trail, turn left at the junction (instead of turning right to Cowtown) and take the paved road back to the starting/finish line.

For the third and final leg of Enticer 2-the run race-participants in the Tagaman course can also choose to run the short course from PauPau to Marianas Resort and back or the long one from PauPau to FEBC sign and back. For the XTERRA trail run course, the short route will bring runners up to one million gallon tank and back to PauPau, while for the long race, participants will go to the end of La Fiesta, turn right up to the one million gallon tank, turn left and run along the trail in the opposite direction at the start of the bike course to return to PauPau.

Entrance fee to tomorrow’s event is only $5 and organizers will be raffling off XTERRA and Tagaman entries after the race.

After Enticer 2, seven more pre-XTERRA/Tagaman races will take place. The list includes the Northern Passage on Feb. 12, XTERRA Trail Run/Tagaman 10K on Feb. 18, the SSC Meek and Mighty Swim on Feb. 25, Saipan Marathon on March 3, Enticer 3 on March 10, XTERRA course ride on March 17, and the Tagaman course ride on March 18.
