COTA served over 7K in 2014

The Commonwealth Office on Transit Authority reports that it accommodated 7,504 riders last year.

August topped the most number of passengers last year, totaling 923.

According to COTA, most riders avail of COTA services for going home.

January ridership totaled 435; February had 544; March had 625; April, 700; May, 774; June, 645; July, 606; September, 592; October, 553; November, 506; and December, 601.

Majority of the people seeking public transportation are residential customers. Second is public assistance for persons with disabilities, while a third is for work and medical needs.

COTA also provided transportation for shopping, medical, and other services such as going to class, market, and paying bills.
