Twenty-five members of the Saipan Awaodori Team, two Kagman High School students, one Northern Marianas College student, and eight Kinpachi Restaurant staff cleaned up the Pase de Marianas and its surroundings.

“Despite the rain we did our first cleanup for 2015 and collected over 1,500 lbs of trash,” PDM Promoters coordinator Sonia Siwa said.

Siwa said the trash they collected was from bushes blocking the drainage system, hundreds of cigarette buds, and empty beer bottles and cans.

PDM does its cleanup every month, collecting up to 1,000 lbs of trash.

For more information and to join the monthly clean up, call the Kinpachi Restaurant at 233-7715 and ask for Siwa.
