Small craft advisory still up

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the surf has subsided to below advisory criteria as well as wind advisory. The small craft advisory still in effect until this noon, Friday.

The small craft advisory is now in effect until noon today. The high surf and wind advisories are now both cancelled.

Northeast winds around 25 lnots locally to 30 knots and combined seas of 10 to 12 feet will produce hazardous conditions for operators of small craft through today. Winds and seas will be on a gradual decline today but will remain hazardous.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in these conditions. If travel by boat is necessary, exercise caution especially near reef lines and when entering or leaving harbors and inlets. (HSEM)
