Pacific Islands Club Saipan has been named the official host hotel of the 2015 Saipan Sportsfest, according to race director Eric Tydingco.

“PIC has such a great history of supporting Saipan Sportsfest, and we are thrilled to have them on board again this year,” said Tydingco. “We are looking forward to working with PIC to make 2015 the best Sportsfest yet!”

Saipan Sportsfest includes two events, the Tagaman triathlon, scheduled for March 22 and, and the XTERRA Saipan Championship, scheduled for March 28.

“PIC Saipan has been a huge supporter for both of these signature events since their inception,” said Glenn Policare, PIC director of sports, entertainment and activities.

“Many of the off-island athletes have expressed that coming to compete in Saipan is akin to coming home. We are excited to work with PIVOT in hosting some of the world’s best triathlete’s once again.”

Athletes and visitors traveling to Saipan for the Sportsfest are eligible for deep discounts on rooms and meal packages. Rooms start at $100 (plus 15 discount tax) and meal options can be added for as little as $19 per day.

“PIC offers those coming to Saipan a comfortable and convenient place to stay and train for Sportsfest,” said Policare. “These discounted rooms are limited, so we advise all athletes and visitors to book their reservations well in advance.”
