Hyatt gives away $40K to local non-profit organizations

The success of the 19th Hyatt Regency Saipan Charity Golf Classic was overwhelming, resulting to one of the hotel’s most generous gift-giving seasons.

The Charity Golf Classic together with all its volunteer associates, event partners, and players will make a difference through its primary beneficiary: Make-A-Wish Foundation. Aside from its primary beneficiary, the funds raised through the event will benefit two other local non-profit organizations, which are The Salvation Army and Ayuda Network Inc.

This newly rebranded event, formerly known as Club at the Hyatt Golf Classic, was held last Nov. 22 at the Coral Ocean Golf Resort.

Make-A-Wish Foundation, this year’s primary beneficiary will receive $20,000, which will help grant wishes of a CNMI child with life-threatening medical conditions. Also, $10,000 will be appropriated to the CNMI Salvation Army’s Soup Kitchen and other infrastructural improvements, and $10,000 will be used to aid Ayuda Network’s initiatives on health and disease-preventions.

Their support will grant wishes for our Make-A-Wish® Foundation recipients, open new opportunities for the Ayuda Network and assist the CNMI Salvation Army’s soup kitchen. Their contributions will make smiles bigger and brighter. When we take care of our community with shared commitment and partnerships, goals will be met and community relationships will be forged. We support all those involved and we greatly appreciate their generous support in return,” said Hyatt Regency Saipan general manager Nick K. Nishikawa.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the hardest working volunteers who started planning and organizing six months ago, paying extra time and attention to details and keeping everything running smoothly. As we approach the 20th anniversary of this tournament in 2015, our team is energetic and excited to begin planning next year’s event,” said Hyatt Food and Beverage director Tyrell Pauling.
