The finalists in Monday’s A and Tuesday B divisions were completed last week as the Saipan Electronic Darts Association season-ending Bud Light league nears its end with games simultaneously being held in various bar on the island.

The Naked Fish Ridin’ Darrty and the Smoke Pub Hunters will be contesting the A title, while Sand Juvy 22 Snipers and the Oleai Team Fearless are the finalists in the Tuesday B after dispatching their respective semifinals foes.

Ridin’ Darrty completed a 9-4 demolition of the Route33 Mixblood Shooters, while the Hunters scored a masterful 9-1 victory against the Route33 Mafia.

Ridin’ Darrty used a 4-game sweep in the singles 501 double in/double out event as enough cushion in securing the win and clinching the first finals berth.

In the other semifinals pairing, the Hunters were merciless and quickly disposed of the Mafia.

The Mafia showed little resistance with Erwin Clavecillas scoring their team’s lone win when he defeated Cris Omne in their match-up in the singles 501 double in/double out event.

In the Tuesday B, the Snipers escaped with an 8-7 win over Marupok, while Team Fearless edged the Smoke Pub High On Darts, 8-5.

The Snipers went toe-to-toe with Marupok as their contest entered Team 1001/1101 open in/double out event tied at 7-7.

Rene Aguayon, Pepe Orola, JR Vito, and Rod Pamintuan sealed the win for the Snipers when they defeated Arvin Orense, Renato Barros, Paul Quizon and Modie Zamora in the final event.

Team Fearless had an easier time against High On Darts, winning four of the last five events played.

The championship matches were played last Monday and Tuesday and results were unavailable at press time.

Meanwhile, the awarding of the regular season and Bud Light Cup winners is set on Jan. 25, starting at 10:30am at the Pacific Island Club-Saipan’s Charley’s Cabaret. (Jon Perez)
