Jets golf fundraising event next month

The Jets baseball team will be holding its first ever golf fundraising tournament on Jan. 31 at the 18-hole par-72 Marianas Country Club in Marpi.

Tee time is set at 12:30pm and the tournament will follow a double Peoria format. Registration fee is $80.

Cash prizes await the Top 3 finishers, while the fourth and fifth placers will be getting special prizes.

This is the third fundraising event organized by Camacho, as the Jets manager also put together two softball tournaments in October and early this month.

Fifteen teams joined the Oct. 12 and Dec. 12 softball weekend tournaments.

The Jets are fundraising to come up with the money that would support their campaign in the upcoming Saipan Baseball League season, which will start on Jan. 12 at the Francisco M. “Tan Ko” Palacios Ballfield.
