“We just thought that we would have more parent participation,” Student Council president Taylor Hocog told Saipan Tribune. “A lot of the parents work during the day so tonight is where we can really have everyone come together.”
School principal Sharlene Manglona expressed her gratitude toward the parents for joining the school in celebrating the holiday season.
Each middle and high school class set up booths, offering face painting and food to students and parents at the event.
Tuesday night’s festivities also feature a raffle drawing and classroom-decorating contest.
Junior class president Catherine Manglona said “I am excited that everyone is here.”
She added, “Unlike other events, this one is not boring. More families are also coming together tonight and the students seem to be having a good time.”
