Bus driver arrested for allegedly impregnating 13-year-old girl
Police arrested on Tuesday in Gualo Rai a tour bus driver who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl, causing her to become pregnant.
Hank Kenney Peredo Taitano, 35, was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

At a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman said due to the egregious allegations, he kept the $100,000 cash bail that the court had earlier imposed in issuing an arrest warrant.
Preliminary hearing will be on Dec. 24 at 9am.
Assistant public defender Eden Schwartz was appointed counsel for Taitano.
Detective Therese S. Kintoki stated in her report that two police officers responded to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. last Nov. 28 after a Division of Youth Services personnel reported a sexual abuse of a minor incident.
Kintoki said at CHCC emergency room, the officers met the DYS personnel, the alleged victim, and the alleged victim’s stepfather.
The DYS staff informed the officers that a doctor called her regarding a sexual abuse of a minor case.
Kintoki said during her interview, the alleged victim stated that at the end of June to early July, she spent time with Taitano at his apartment in San Antonio.
While the girl was sleeping in a bedroom, Taitano allegedly came inside the room, held her hands and sexually abused her.
The girl said she was crying and begging Taitano to get off her, but he was strong.
The girl told Taitano that she would tell her mother about what he did, but the suspect threatened that he would call the police and tell them she was making up stories.
The girl told police that she did not tell anyone on what happened because she was afraid and ashamed. She claimed that she has been bullied in school and scared that she would be bullied more if students and other people found out what happened to her.
Kintoki said the girl’s mother and her stepfather were wondering why her stomach was getting bigger and showing signs of pregnancy so they made an appointment with a doctor.
During the checkup last Nov. 28, Kintoki said, the doctor told the girl’s mother and her husband that the girl is four months pregnant.
The doctor then called DYS.
