Foremost Scoops supports CNMI Toy Drive, gives ice cream coupons to gift givers

Foremost Scoops supports the campaign to spread holiday cheer to children in need by being a CNMI Toy Drive drop-off point. A new unwrapped toy for infants to teens from 0 to 18 years of age may be deposited in the toy box located inside Foremost Scoops.

In appreciation of the generosity of gift givers in the community, Foremost Scoops will give an ice cream coupon to every donor who drops off a gift at Foremost Scoops.

Foremost Scoops will accept gifts until Saturday, Dec. 20. All toys will be turned over to Karidat Social Services to share with children in need this holiday season. (PR)

KagHS cautions against fundraising scam

Kagman High School wants to inform the community of a fraudulent fundraising ploy that was discovered yesterday afternoon.

We were informed that someone in the Saipan community is fraudulently selling tickets on behalf of the KHS 2015 senior class for a Luau Dinner at Fiesta Resort on Dec. 18 2014.

KHS senior class is not involved in this fraud and wants to warn the public. If anyone has been approached to buy or has purchased this fraudulent ticket scam, please contact the police authorities and report it right away. (PR)

USP4GG sets Appreciation Night this Friday

The US Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas chapter will hold its Appreciation Night this Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, at the San Antonio Parish Social Hall in San Antonio, Saipan.

The event will recognize the contributions, help, assistance, support, and services of USP4GG members, volunteers, donors, and supporters.

There will be an awarding of Certificates of Appreciation, songs, parlor games, dinner and exchange gifts. To those who would like to join the exchange gifts, the price range of the gift is from $5 to $10.

The theme of the Appreciation Night is “Unity during this Christmas Season and Beyond.” Reverend Father Rey Rosal, parish priest of San Jose Church, will deliver the Inspirational Message.

Atty. Loida Nicolas Lewis, national chairperson of the US Pinoys for Good Governance, will deliver her message live via Skype from New York City at 10pm, 7am New York time. (USP4GG)
