Finals cast in Bud Light Cup’s 2 divisions set

The finalists in the Fanihi and Flame Tree divisions of the 2014 Saipan Electronic Darts Association Bud Light Cup are now complete with the title matches to be played this Thursday at the various bars on island.
The Sand Juvy Put3ska and sister team No Fear will contest the Fanihi crown after dispatching separate opponents last week, while the Naked Fish Ridin’ Darrty and the Jokers Warriors arranged their title showdown in the Flame Tree division.
Put3ska defeated the Smoke Pub 80 Proofers, 8-6, while No Fear pulled off an 8-4 decision against the VFW Warriors.
Renato Barros, Modie Zamora, Arvin Orense and Paul Quizon delivered the two wins in the last two doubles matches that Put3ska needed to seal the win after the Proofers evened things up at 6-6.
No Fear, meanwhile, banked on Frances Magofna, Clare Aldan, Philip Kalen, Hank Magofna and Sally Aguon in winning four of the last five events they played to secure the victory and earn the right to face Put3ska in the finals.
In the Flame Tree division, the Naked Fish Ridin’ Darrty scored an 8-3 win over the Sand Juvy Dart Balas, while the Jokers Warriors escaped with an 8-5 triumph against Jonny’s Kyodai to earn the two finals berths.
Meanwhile, the Jokers Spartans and Smoke Pub Snipers completed the quarterfinalists in the Chichirika division.
The Spartans and Snipers both needed an 8-5 tally against the Barcode Breakers and Disciples, respectively, to clinch the final two spots in the Last 8. They will face off in the quarterfinals, which starts tomorrow.
Poseidon Feelin’ Lucky takes on Sand Juvy Ta’Chagi, VFW ‘Ombak’ Hit’em up clashes with Joe’s DNA Jump It, and the Smoke Pub Bull It battles Blue Koi’s in the other quarterfinals pairings.
The Smoke Pub D’ Mekaniks nipped Route33 Mixblood Shooters, 8-7, while Marupok earned an 8-4 victory over the Jokers X-ecutioners to clinch the quarterfinals spots. They will collide in the Tuesday B division Last 8 that starts today.
Jokers Dabarkads duels Sand Juvy Snipers, the Smoke Pub High On Darts meets the Dartaholics, and the Oleai Team Fearless faces the Sparkz in the other quarterfinals matches.
