Remains of Alec Dye confirmed

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam—Human remains recovered Dec 4. were confirmed to be Airman Alec Dye, deployed to Guam from Barksdale Air Force Base, La.

“We have lost a valuable member of our Air Force family,” said Brig. Gen. Andrew Toth, 36th Wing commander. “Airman Dye will be missed by members of his unit and all who had the opportunity to serve with him. Our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss continue to be with his family, friends and co-workers.”

Dye, deployed from the 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., was last seen near Tarague Beach early morning Dec 1. (USAF)
