CEC certifies Inos-Torres victory

The Commonwealth Election Commission board certified tonight, Friday, the election results of the Nov. 21 gubernatorial runoff election, declaring the Republican Party standard bearer Eloy S. Inos-Ralph Torres as the winner.

As expected, the Inos-Torres tandem garnered more votes from teh absentee ballots, sealing their victory in the gubernatorial race over the independent Heinz S. Hofschneider-Ralph N. Yumul team.

According to the CEC’s counting results, Inos got 330; Hofschneider received 185.

This would bring Inos-Torres’ overall total lead to 1,744.
