TARAGUE BEACH, Guam — Responders from multiple agencies continue their search for a missing person off the northern coast of Guam.

Aircraft, boats, and people were all used in the continued search for an airman reported missing off of Tarague beach. An HSC-25 helicopter and Coast Guard 110-foot patrol boat searched through the night until daybreak yesterday morning.

Yesterday, crews from Guam Fire Rescue, Guam Police Department Marine Unit, Andersen Air Force Base Fire, Andersen Air Force Base Security, Coast Guard cutter Washington, and Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor continued their search efforts.

Approximately 60 volunteers from the Air Force assisted in combing the shoreline of Tarague Beach, while swimmers, small boat, and jet skis concentrated on the reef and waters closer to the shore. The helicopter and 110-foot patrol boat searched the waters offshore. Searching was scheduled to continue through last night and Sector Guam will develop plans for coordinating today’s efforts.

Updates will be provided as they become available. (USCG)
