Person missing off Guam beach

TARAGUE BEACH, Guam—Responders from multiple agencies are searching for a missing person off the northern coast of Guam.

During the early morning of Dec. 1, 2014, U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam received a report from Andersen Air Force Base’s Fire Dispatch regarding a missing active duty Air Force member that possibly entered the water in the vicinity of Tarague Beach, Guam.

Sector Guam is coordinating search efforts for multiple resources to include: jet skis, swimmers, a helicopter and small boats from Andersen Air Force Base Fire Rescue, Guam Police Department Marine Unit, U.S. Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, Guam Fire Rescue, Guam Police Department Marine Unit, Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor and Coast Guard cutter Washington.
