OVR counselors conduct outreach in Susupe

Office of Vocational Rehabilitation counselors will be conducting outreach at the House of Manhoben located behind the cemetery next to Susupe Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, from 9am to 11:30am. Individuals interested in applying for vocational rehabilitation services are encouraged to take advantage of this outreach.

An applicant is eligible for vocational rehabilitation services if the individual: 1) is an individual with a disability, and; 2) has a physical or mental impairment which for such individual constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment; and can benefit in terms of an employment outcome from vocational rehabilitation services, and; 3) requires vocational rehabilitation services to prepare for, secure, or retain employment; and 4) has legal status to allow employment in the CNMI or U.S.

OVR extends its appreciation to Ayuda Network for coordinating and making the outreach possible.

The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority provides transportation service for a fee of $5 per ride for the general public (riders without disabilities), or $3 per ride for approved riders with disabilities and the elderly age 55 and over. Schedule your ride at least one day in advance by calling COTA at 664-2690. You can call this reservation line from Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, and Saturdays 8am to 4pm.
