‘The ‘slim few’ have been in power for too long’

Inos-Torres and their group of powerful business and political friends have dominated the political, economic and social segments of our community for almost 15 years and they claim that we think that only a “slim few are qualified” to be governor and lieutenant governor of our Commonwealth, said HY campaign spokesman John P. Del Rosario.

“That is a claim no one will find believable, in light of all the facts,” he said. “Keep in mind the slim few that have been at the helm of our government for the last 15 years. The previous administrations have been rotating their leadership, simply inheriting and perpetuating the major problems plaguing the people of the CNMI. They have carried out often outdated solutions. The CNMI needs new ideas.”

“Even Juan N. Babauta, one of their challengers—and now new friend—thought they needed new ideas,” Del Rosario said. “We are naturally hoping that the general public feels it is time to retire their approach and pass the mantle to the next generation of leaders, ideas and approaches.” (PR)
