Ayuda Network and the CNMI Salvation Army were named as additional beneficiaries of the 2014 Hyatt Regency Saipan Charity Golf Classic set this Saturday at Coral Ocean Point.

COP, which offers an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean, is newly refurbished and also has new golf carts.

Delta Airlines, Pacific Insurance Underwriters Inc. and Triple J Motors are some of the major sponsors of the annual charity golf tournament.

Delta sales account executive Chris Concepcion presented Hyatt Golf Classic organizers with a package donation of two round trip economy class tickets to Japan worth $2,244

Concepcion said Delta is always pleased to support the annual golf tournament fundraiser this year.

“We are proud to partner with them in their efforts to help various charitable organizations in the CNMI and we encourage the community to partake in this exciting tournament. Our donation will hopefully entice golfers to participate in this praiseworthy event,” said Concepcion.

Hyatt general manager Nick K. Nishikawa thanked Delta for the valuable partnership.

“Through this joint effort, we surely create an impact toward a community that thrives,” added Nishikawa.

Pacific Insurance, which already donated $1,000 cash, added a $5,000 hole-in-one prize sponsor donation, making them a Platinum sponsor in the golf fundraiser.

Pacific’s donation aims to assist in community development and help this year’s charity recipients.

Nishikawa said Hyatt is thankful for Pacifica’s valued support in helping the community.

“We are happy to continue the community partnership as we successfully support and touch lives,” Nishikawa said.

Triple J Motors donated a brand new car as one of the hole-in-one prizes.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is the main recipient of proceeds from the annual golf fundraiser. Last year, $23,000 was raised and donated to fulfill the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Tournament format will be the same as last year. The lowest individual scores will count for prizes to be awarded for the champion, first runner-up, and second runner up in the A, B, C, Seniors and Ladies Double Peoria flight categories.
