Saipan Little League Baseball Inc. president Benjamin Jones Sr. is again appealing to all team managers, coaches, or any of their representative to attend the final general membership meeting next week and finalize the league’s opening in January.

The final general meeting will be held on Nov. 25, Tuesday, at 5:30pm at the pavilion behind the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium. Jan. 15 is the tentative opening date for the 2015-2016 Saipan Little League season.

Only a handful of managers showed up in their scheduled meeting last Saturday and the SLLBI board, headed by Jones, wants to have a full attendance to discuss other league matters, like the final opening date, registration forms, and entrance fee.

Jones and the entire SLLBI board are asking for everyone’s cooperation to avoid any hitches. They want to finished the season on time so they could prepare the all star teams that will be playing in the CNMI district and Asia-Pacific-Middle East regional tournaments.

“The Nov. 25 meeting will be our last before the season opens in January. So I am asking all managers, coaches or any of their representatives to attend. If you’re not present, your team will be out of the program,” said Jones.

Aside from the meeting, the SLLBI board has set Dec. 6 as player registration day. They will be at the Ada Gym pavilion from 9am to 12nn to receive the team rosters and other necessary documents.

“Team managers or even the parents can present necessary documents like birth certificates. We will be here on Dec. 6 to assist them in the registration of players,” said SLLBI secretary and player agent Piding Tenorio.

Annie Deleon Guerrero Flores (vice president), Malcolm Omar (treasurer), Climaco Laniyo (safety officer) and AJ Murig (chief statistician) are the other SLLBI board members.

For more information, call Tenorio at 285-1024 or Murig a 989-0640. (Jon Perez)
