November is CNMI College Month
November 2014 was officially proclaimed CNMI College Month with Lt. Gov. Jude U. Hofschneider inking the proclamation yesterday at Building D-1 of the Northern Marianas College
“I recognize the Northern Marianas College…for helping to prepare the people of the CNMI for fulfilling careers and for serving as the engine to drive the economic growth and the social and cultural vitality of the Commonwealth,” Hofschneider read before signing the proclamation.

Cruz read from the proclamation commending NMC for “launching student success,” as many of its graduates are now business, government, and community leaders in the CNMI and abroad, the document said.
NMC has a busy college month ahead. Notably they have outreach seminars throughout the last week of the month for the potentially college-bound
The “Start Smart Seminars” will inform students of the benefits of a college degree, resources to pay for college, and different majors and careers available.
On top of this, NMC graduates will share their college experiences with high schools.
The seminars start Friday next week, Nov. 21, and continue on Nov. 24, and 25. A “Student Success Series Workshop” is also planned on Nov. 25 to help students take advantage of the Nutrition Assistance Program while in college.
Originally set for Oct. 30, the proclamation was pushed to mid-November.
