11 finish CNMI Motheread/Fatheread session

The CNMI Motheread/Fatheread presented yet another successful completion ceremony at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, for the Adult Basic Education Class sponsored by the Northern Marianas College.

Eleven students participated in the three-month session at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. The Adult Class was facilitated by Motheread/Fatheread certified adult trainer Celina Foreman.

Participants included Bernice Sanchez, Sylvester K. Kapileo, Holly Kapileo, Anthony Tudela, Srinapa Eitz, Nikkita Fitial, Vicenta Sanchez, Angel Ichihara, Nolan Valentine, Juljean Ngeskebei, and Joseph Fukuichi.

Two students completed the 11-hour class session with perfect attendance: Anthony Tudela and Srinapa Eitz.

Interested ABE students may contact Elsie Cabrera (elsie.cabrera@marianas.edu) at the Northern Marianas College to sign up for the next MR/FR ABE class!

The CNMI Motheread/Fatheread Literacy Program is administered by the Northern Marianas Humanities Council in partnership with the CNMI Public School System, the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, and the Joeten- Kiyu Public Library.
