Tennis courts of the American Memorial Park are now open.

An AMP staff confirmed with Saipan Tribune said that the tennis courts officially re-opened last Saturday, Nov. 8. The tennis courts are open from 6am to 9:30pm.

AMP closed down the tennis courts in April for renovation.

According to AMP staff, NPS Pacific West Regional Civil Engineer Scott Henrickson came to Saipan and gave the approval for the tennis courts to re-open.

Earlier NPS reported that the original concept on the rehabilitation of the tennis courts was for the entry of the tennis courts to be placed approximately 100 feet west of the Middle Road and Micro Beach Road intersection. The tennis courts’ access point was later relocated some 200 feet west of the Middle Road and Micro Beach Road.

Earnings from the AMP trust fund helped fund the project.
