Guam Guard officers selected for senior service colleges
Two Guam Army National Guard officers were recently selected to attend senior service colleges for the 2015 academic year.

Lt. Col. Frank Tominez Jr., Deputy Director of Operations for the Guam National Guard, was selected to attend the U.S. Air War College at The Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Alabama. The 10-month in-residence course develops the knowledge, skills and attitudes of its students that are significant to the profession of arms with emphasis on air and space power and its application in joint, multinational, multi-agency war fighting, international security operations, air power strategy development and national security planning. Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a Master of Strategic Studies.
Lt. Col. Ronnie Delfin, Commander, 94th Civil Support Team, was selected to participate in the two-year Distance Education Program at the U.S. Army War College. Completion of this rigorous program of instruction will result in the award of the same graduation certificate and the same fully-accredited Master of Strategic Studies degree awarded to graduates of the resident programs. The Army War College educates and develops leaders for service at the strategic level while advancing knowledge in the global application of Landpower.
“I am very proud of these two officers on their selection as it reflects the maturation of the Guam National Guard. As more of our members are selected and successfully complete senior service schools, such as the War Colleges, the Guard will grow and develop a larger pool of responsible, educated and experienced officers that will be able to lead the Guard in the future,” said Maj. Gen. Benny M. Paulino, The Adjutant General of the Guam National Guard.
