My prediction of 3-to-1 loss for Inos/Torres is still in the balance with voters. Although I was way off using the faulty MV poll on Mr. Babauta, my original prediction has yet to be determined. I am still maintaining my prediction that IT would lose based on the fact that the majority of voters (55 percent) cast their vote against Inos and there is no reason for them to change their minds in the runoff. The supporters of the Heinz, Babauta and Tofila need to band together if we are to change the Commonwealth and improve our quality of life. The voters who didn’t vote also need to come out and support change and a better leader for the CNMI.

There are no new votes for IT to get if voters stay true to their desire for new leadership. There won’t be any more votes for IT because with 55 percent of the vote split between the Heinz, Babauta and Tofila supporters, voters should already know if they stay together and vote for Heinz they are guaranteed to have a new governor with a better chance for change and improvements.

The majority now has within their reach a clear opportunity to change our government, to change the way things are being done, to change the voice of the people and to change our quality of life. The only question is, will the voters of the three challenges remain true to their conviction for change in leadership. Given the fact that many of the supporters of Heinz and Babauta have worked together before, hopefully there won’t be many, if any, mutinies to join IT. But the poetic justice about this is that the Democrats could actually be holding the swing votes as the new players in the game and we know true Democrats would never support a GOP candidate versus an independent, so IT should lose based on the facts and the numbers.

I’m still looking forward to being happy for us all in 2015 if we can just all stick together in the runoff. We have just proved in the general election that we are already one people with a majority for new leadership that will take us in a new and different direction to find real social, economic and political prosperity for us all. Stay united for change so we can be happy in 2015!
