Make-A-Wish Foundation needs donations that will enable it to fulfill the wishes of CNMI Wish Kids. In this regard, Make-A-Wish will be hosting a Wish Night fundraiser at the Naked Fish on Nov 18, Tuesday, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Make-A-Wish experiences often involve travel, especially with kids from the CNMI and Guam. Each year, Make-A-Wish sends several wish kids and their families on trips and help make their dreams come true with help from our generous communities.

“The Make-A-Wish Foundation often arranges travel for wish kids to reach their wish destinations, whether it’s to meet a celebrity, go to their favorite theme park or a shopping spree or reconnect with extended family who have moved away,” said Mike Naholowaa, Make-A-Wish Guam board chairman.

“Air travel is a critical resource as we work to grant the heartfelt—and oftentimes very creative—wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Victor Camacho, Make-A-Wish Guam’s executive director. “Donating to Make-A-Wish will allow us to continue creating countless lasting moments for children with life-threatening medical conditions here in our communities. You can truly make a difference in a child’s life.”

Thanks to Joe Guerrero and Eleanor Cabrera, the Naked Fish Bar & Grill will be this year’s venue for CNMI’s Wish Night on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. Tickets are $50 per person and include food, drinks, live music and fun. Tickets are now available for sale at the Naked Fish Bar & Grill, Gold’s Gym Saipan, and board member Kanae Quinn. Call 285-1168 or email cnmiwish@gmail.com for more information.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the foundation is one of the world’s leading children’s charities, with 64 chapters in the United States and its territories. With the help of donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes and has granted more than 200,000 wishes in the United States since its inception.
