Veterans Day proclamation signing
The Military and Veterans Affairs Office is inviting all veterans, active and reserved military members, and the public to join them for the Veterans Day proclamation signing on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at 10am at the Office of the Governor’s conference room. This year’s Veterans Day falls on Nov. 11, a Tuesday. (PR)
NMDC general membership meeting set
The Northern Marianas Descent Corp. has scheduled a general membership meeting on Thursday, Oct. 23, starting at 6pm, at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan. The agenda will include the
Gubernatorial Forum and Save Pagan Movement.
The NMDC-hosted CNMI Governor and Lt. Governor Candidates’ Forum is scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 6pm, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. It is free and open to the public. (NMDC)
Air Force training on FDM
The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following times:
• Oct. 23, from 10am to 5pm
• Oct. 23, from 7pm to 11:59pm
The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
