MP United Football Club was victorious in three divisions of the 2014 NMIFA Fall League last Saturday.

The club’s U15 boys team started its string of wins last Friday after crushing Kanoa Football Club, 18-0, at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.

Sun Joon Tenorio scored five goals in the lopsided win, while Edwin Kim and Cody Leon chipped in four apiece. Richard Chin added two, while Go Sekiguchi, Joshua Abragan, and Seung You contributed one each. MP United had the game in the bag right in the first half when it enjoyed a 13-0 advantage.

In the co-ed U12, MP United also cruised to victory against Kanoa FC, 6-1.

Oliver Lee and Mark Esalan led MP United’s rout of Kanoa as they logged two field goals apiece. Go Sekiguchi and Jon Villagomez converted the two other goals for MP United. Go hit the board first with his goal in the 27th minute, while Lee made it a quick 3-0 advantage with his back-to-back goals in the 31st and 37th minute. Villagomez then ended MP United’s first half domination of Kanoa with a goal two minutes before the opening half wrapped up.

In the second half, Esalan canned two straight goals in a span of seven minutes (51st and 58th), while Kanoa avoided a shutout after drawing a goal from Ian Karl Maniago in the 62nd minute.

In the boys U18 division, MP United met a tough opposition in Tan Holdings FC before pulling off a 4-3 victory.

Jirech Yobech scored the winning goal three minutes into the stoppage time. Tanapon Unsa, Daniel Lim, and Jehn Joyner were the three other scorers for MP United, which is still unbeaten in three games in the division.

Sean Perez had two goals for Tan Holdings, while Emmanuel Aniana nailed the other one—the equalizer in the 88th minute. Earlier in the 60th minute Joyner put MP United on top, 3-1. MP United got its first two goals in the opening half with Unsa hitting the board in the seventh minute and Lim scoring in the 28th. Tan Holdings had only one goal in the first half, courtesy of Perez’s shot in the 21st minute and he earned his second in the 76th to knot the count.

In other results, Tan Holdings dominated Paire FC in the co-ed U12 match at the Hopwood Junior High School Field, 6-1, and the former also won in the boys U15 division via forfeiture against Shirley’s Coffee Shop.

John Michael Roxas power Tan Holdings to the easy victory over Paire after drilling a hat-trick. John Guiller Canape, Thaipi Austria, and Frank Demaroz contributed one goal apiece. Blake Mister scored the lone goal for Paire.

Meanwhile, results in the girls U15 games at the Hopwood pitch will be reported once match reports are turned in.
