“Please know that it will be an honor for me to work with you. …I know you will all do a terrific job in representing the best interests of our students,” NMC president Dr. Sharon Hart said in a statement addressing the new officers.
According to Leo Pangelinan, dean of Student Services, an induction ceremony will be held pending a date and time worked out between the new officers and the college’s Office of Student Activities.
The election for the new officers of the Associated Students of NMC was held on Sept. 23 and 24 between 9am to 6am at the college’s student center.
Nathrani was the only nomination for president, with some of the eight candidates running for more than one position.
She told Saipan Tribune earlier that the type of activities she plans to hold as president include student discussion forums for issues the college may be facing, as well as sport activities and entertaining events that will help students relax and cope.
“Students need to be more involved with activities on campus because these activities play an integral role in gaining and improving lifelong skills,” she said.
