The Public School System dismissed classes on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota at 12:00 noon today due to Tropical Storm Phanfone.

The 10,427 students currently enrolled at PSS were set to be picked up by buses around noontime.

Education Commissioner Dr. Rita Sablan said this morning she hopes all students would be home by the afternoon.

The 17 PSS buses were set to come around at 11:30 to begin picking up students, she said.

Sablan said shelter managers and PSS staff would be securing equipment, classrooms, and buildings to minimize any damage to school properties.
