The 12 federal jurors are expected to resume their deliberations this morning, Monday, the third week, in the case against Raymond B. Roberto.

With still no verdict yet on Friday, the U.S. District Court for the NMI designated judge David O. Carter directed the jurors to continue their 9th day of deliberations today.

The jurors are going to decide whether the 41-year-old Roberto is guilty or not of enticement of a minor to engage in prostitution and one count of witness tampering.

The jurors, composed of eight men and four women, began deliberating last Sept. 15. The trial began on Aug. 8. Jury selection lasted seven days—said to be the longest so far in the CNMI.

Roberto is a former acting director of the Division of Fish and Wildlife.
