Borja, who also scored three goals in their similar 3-2 triumph over MP United in the league’s opening week, dropped two in the first half and the insurance in the second to give Paire its second victory in as many games. Tan Holdings FC dropped to a 0-2 record, failing to bounce back from its season debut loss to Matansa FC, 1-2.
Borja eluded Tan Holdings defenders early, as she earned her first goal in the second minute. Tan Holdings then evened up the match six minutes later off Krizel Mae Tuazon’s goal, but Borja came out drilling another goal in the 20th to end the half with Paire holding on to a precarious lead.
In the second half, it took awhile for both teams to score with Borja completing her hat-trick in the 65th and giving Paire cushion. A goal from Jessica Andebor three minutes later moved Tan Holdings within one anew, but it could not overhaul the deficit, as Paire hung tight on defense for a share of the division lead.
Shirley’s FC 3, MP United FC 0
Shirley’s joined Paire on top after a 3-0 shutout of MP United in the final girls U15 match last weekend.

CO-ED U12
MP United 6, Kanoa FC 0
Over at Hopwood’s Pitch 1, MP United FC crushed Kanoa FC in the co-ed U12 division match, 6-0.
Eun Syu Hahn and Go Sekiguchi logged two goals apiece to pace MP United’s second victory in as many games and hand Kanoa FC its second straight setback. Mark Esalan and Kaito Sawaki were the other scorers for MP United, which also blanked Paire, 6-0, in the opening week.
Esalan lit up the board first with his goal in the fourth minute, while Sawaki scored in the 16th minute. Sekiguchi made it a 3-0 lead in the 22nd minute, while Hahn hit back-to-back goals for their 5-0 advantage before the former closed out the scoring for MP United with his second goal (30th minute).
Tan Holdings FC 3, Paire 2
In the other co-ed U12 game, Tan Holdings FC nosed out Paire FC, 3-2.
Tan Holdings collected three goals in the first half to build enough cushion against Paire, which tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but fell short. Thaipi Austria canned two straight goals in a span of two minutes, scoring in the second and fourth minute, while John Guiller Canape added one more in the 23 rd to lift Tan Holdings to a 3-0 advantage.
Paire FC’s Jamin Elliot made it a 1-3 deficit at the break with his goal in the 28th minute and threatened Tan Holdings after getting his second goal in the 56th. However, Tan Holdings neutralized Elliot and other Paire players in the remaining minutes of the second half to preserve the win, its second in as many matches.
