Kobler resident scores lack of water supply since last week

A Koblerville resident expressed disappointment with the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. yesterday over the lack of water supply to their residence since last week.
“Not only me that is suffering but also my neighbors. And I have kids that are going to school in the morning,” Eric Agulto Borja told Saipan Tribune.
Borja, a former Gaming Commission inspector, said his residence is in an elevated area near the Master Auto Shop. He said he could understand if there’s no water supply for a day or two but not a week.
Saipan Tribune asked CUC for comments but CUC executive director Abe Malae had yet to respond as of press time yesterday.
Borja said the water supply stopped last Thursday or Friday, but CUC would turn the water supply back on in the evening.
“But now, there’s nothing at all,” he said.
Borja said he called CUC’s Trouble Desk yesterday but only ended up with an argument over the phone with a staff he described as unprofessional.
Borja said he learned that CUC has been fixing water pumps and this has affected their area.
“I’m paying my bills on time. If I don’t pay, they will disconnect me,” he said.
Borja urged CUC to correct the problem and stop “making the people suffer.”
“It’s already 2012 we’re expecting everything to be good. I don’t think we’re getting better, we’re getting worse,” he added.
