Valiant Shield 2014 on Tinian
- Two MV-22B Ospreys land on Echo Field on Tinian, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands on Sept. 21 during exercise Valiant Shield 2014. Brig. Gen. Steven R. Rudder piloted one of the Ospreys as he visited the Marines and sailors on Tinian. This was the first time an MV-22 has ever landed on Echo Field. Rudder was accompanied by Rear Adm. Russell Allen, deputy commander of the U.S. 7th Fleet. During the visit, Rudder and Allen visited the service members to show appreciation for their sacrifice and hard work throughout the exercise.
