The Guam Army National Guard’s will hold monthly training assembly or drill, on Sept. 26, 27, and 28.

All Army Guard training events had been postponed earlier this month due to a budgetary shortfall nationwide; however, Congress recently approved the reprogramming of funds to support the scheduled monthly training of soldiers.

“We are pleased that we can execute this training opportunity to ensure that our soldiers remain ready and trained to respond to missions at home and abroad,” said Maj. Gen. Benny M. Paulino, The Adjutant General for the Guam National Guard.

This rescheduled drill date does not affect airmen as members of the Guam Air National Guard already held monthly training earlier this month.

“As always, we ask for the continued support of our employers in allowing their employee-soldiers to attend this rescheduled monthly unit training assembly on Sept. 26, 27, and 28,” said Paulino.

Soldiers should contact their respective units should they have any questions, comments or concerns. (GUANG)
