A man allegedly pushed his girlfriend and poked her face with his finger when he found her outside their house talking to their neighbor in Dandan early Wednesday morning.

Michael Lee Borja, 35, was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace. His bail was set at $5,000 cash. Preliminary hearing will be on Sept. 25 at 9am.

Assistant public defender Michael Sato was appointed as counsel for Borja.

Police detective Flora Danica B. Aguon stated in her report that a police officer was dispatched Wednesday at 2:52am to a residence in Dandan where a domestic violence was reported.

Aguon said the victim met the officer outside the house.

Borja came out of the house during the officer’s interview with the girlfriend, prompting the officer to handcuff him for safety purposes.

The girlfriend alleged that Borja pushed her twice, causing her to fall to the floor. Borja repeatedly asked her what she was doing outside the house and then poked her face with his finger.

She said she pushed him back, ran outside the house, and called the police. The report did not mention whether the neighbor is male or female.
