(Walter Cepeda Sutherland) The 19th Hole Bar’s Titans and Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Team SCS are knotted up at the helm of the Saipan Billiards Association’s Obyan Division standings after the conclusion of Tuesday’s 2012 Winter/Summer Budweiser Open 8-Ball League season matchups.

The Titans defeated Fotten Palau (102-119), 12-5, on the road at Joe’s Steakhouse, while Team SCS endured a, 7-10, downfall to the Agingan Division runner-up Docomo Pacific-Home Boyz (160-61) in an inter-league road match held at Poseidon. Both squads were left with identical win-loss records of 110-111.

In other results, Poseidon’s Yang-Ku (109-112) outlasted Jonny’s fourth place Crazy 8 (105-116), 9-8, on the road to remain in third place, while 19th Holes’ Poksu (77-144) upset Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s fifth place Shark Attack (103-118), 11-6, at home.

Meanwhile, the IT&E Voyagers continue to carry the torch in the Agingan Division and improved its card to 167-54 with a swift 17-0 shutout win against Bammy’s Boom-Boom (42-179) in inter-league play on the road.

Other Agingan results include New Saipan Aluminum’s third-ranked Hustlers (152-69) toppling Joe’s fifth place Ocean Warriors (115-106), 12-5, at home in Utopia Sports Bar; and the IT&E Incredibles (149-72) brushing off Obyan’s The Water Front (46-175), 15-2, in an inter-league road pairing.

Last Tuesday marked the end of the regular season. The traditional postseason Budweiser Cup tournament is next on tap. However, the schedules are still being formulated and details will be released upon confirmation.
