WWII live ordnance at Marpi Blow Pit on Aug. 29

The CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Office of the Governor with the Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas (N3) Guam, Gov. Eloy S. Inos, would like to inform the general public that the Guam EOD DET will be conducting WWII live Ordnance at Saipan Marpi Blow Pit. The schedule dates and time are as followed:

-Aug. 29, 2014

-1pm-3pm

-Saipan Blow Pit

-Lat: 15 deg. 16min. 0.0865sec. North

-Long: 145deg. 49min. 0.3313sec. East

The general location of this activity will be at Marpi Blow Pit within 3,300 feet radius on all quadrants to 3,300 feet above sea level.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity Gov. Eloy S. Inos, is strongly advising the general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.
